Who are we?

On Thursday, September 29, 2022, on my way to Santiago de Compostela, I had a dream of Saint James with a powerful message: "What is the meaning of life, Reynald? Abundance will kill!" Is it a serious message? Was it meant only for me? Is it a real warning for our world of abundance? Is it an individual message for a new world? In any case, I felt the responsibility to bear witness in my book *My Path*, from my childhood as a non-believer, through my daughter’s disability as the starting point of my faith, to this dream of Saint James: "Abundance will kill."

As an entrepreneur, I also felt the responsibility to create KRER, derived from "creire" in Old French, which means "to believe." KRER is a "startup studio" (a studio of entrepreneurs creating innovative young companies) based in Barcelona, serving the Economy of Pope Francis. As Gaudí, founder of the Sagrada Familia, said: "My client is not in a hurry!" referring to God.

Thus, every year, we will launch an innovative, profitable company serving the common good, the Church, and the meaning of life. In 2023, we are launching our book "Abundance will kill", and its sales and your donations will allow us to launch an APP for pilgrims of the world in 2024 (centralizing all pilgrimages of the world in a single APP, with technical, historical, and spiritual aspects of the routes).

Job Description

Within our Tech team, you will be responsible for the development of our APP for pilgrims, which needs to be built from A to Z. Our ambition is high for this APP, which will be the reference mobile application for all pilgrims of the world, by centralizing all pilgrimages of the world, with technical, historical, and spiritual aspects of the routes.

 

Your missions will include (among others):

• Developing our APP from A to Z
• Creating the UX and graphic design
• Ensuring that the application's UX is respected across all platforms and devices
• Using device capabilities (Wi-Fi, camera, notifications, geolocation...)
• Deploying the development of our APP internationally (language/content)
• Monitoring technical health (performance, crash reports)
• Responding quickly to production incidents and bugs that users may encounter
• Creating the backend (language to be defined together)
• Writing and maintaining technical documentation
• Code reviews / pull requests / continuous improvement of the codebase
• Other missions to be defined together

 

Desired Profile

 

• Experience > 3 years in APP development
• Holder of an engineering degree or equivalent university degree (Master's level), you have significant experience in developing Android or iOS mobile applications, or GoodBarber APPS or SHOPIFY APPS
• You enjoy taking on daily challenges, you know how to work autonomously, and you are proactive with your interlocutors in order to bring added value to our projects
• You have a real sensitivity for UX
• You enjoy working in highly agile environments and you are endowed with flawless rigor and responsiveness!
